NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Lane Lyle Nunnery, 85, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Mr. Nunnery was born May 18, 1926, in Greenville, the son of Lane Nunnery and Adele Nunnery. He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Eulalia Nunnery; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Nunnery of Natchez and Joe Nunnery and wife, Kathy, of Vidalia; one daughter, Linda Wainwright and husband, Larry, of West Monroe, La.; one sister, Bitha Mixon Anthony of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Nunnery of Vidalia; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Nunnery, Chris Nunnery, Jackie Norris, Joey Nunnery Jr., Jon Nunnery, Melvin Grantham and Victor Zordan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Tommy Roberts and Bill Smith Jr.
