JACKSON — The Mississippi Department of Transportation announced an extension of the height restriction on U.S. 61/84 in Adams County.

Vehicles with loads higher than 15-feet 6-inches will not be allowed to pass through the intersection until further notice.

The current signal pole at the intersection will be replaced with a taller pole that will allow larger vehicles to pass through freely. Until that time, vehicles with loads higher than 15’ 6” inches are urged to take an alternate route.
