IUKA (AP) — Officials are expecting more jobs for welders to come to Tishomingo County with the expansion of DynaSteel at the Yellow Creek Port.

Company officials on Thursday announced a 42,000-square-foot expansion. That is expected to initially bring 50 new jobs, according to Gary Matthews, the executive director of the Tishomingo County Development Foundation.

A specialty steel fabricator serving various industries, Dynasteel has been expanding, doubling the size of its Natchez facility in 2007 with the addition of 42,000 square feet. The Yellow Creek expansion, targeted for completion in January, will bring DynaSteel’s total fabrication space to 250,000 square feet.
