NATCHEZ — A mid-October assault incident landed one local teen in the Adams County Jail.
On Monday Brittany D. Kelly, 18, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy Maj. Jody Waldrop said Kelly allegedly struck two people with her vehicle after an argument on North Palestine Road.
Waldrop said one of the victims had to be treated for a leg injury and the other had to be treated for an injury to the foot.
At least one of the victims was related to Kelly.
However, Waldrop said he was unsure of the specific relation or the origin of the argument.
In September 2006 Kelly was arrested on a murder charge.
In that incident Kelly, then 16, was indicted by a grand jury in the murder of her mother, Jacquelyn Thompson.
Charges in that case were later dropped when District Attorney Ronnie Harper said there was not enough evidence to go to trial.
