God gives us reasons to be thankful

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving.
As I got ready to write this article, I thought about Jesus and how he chose to die for our sin. He didn’t have to do it, but He did.
And that by itself is enough to say “Lord we thank you.”
Even though today is the day of Thanksgiving, we just want to take the time out and say “thank you Lord Jesus.”
Because every day is a day of Thanksgiving. God has been so good to us and everyday He is blessing us.
And for that we can say “thank you, sir.” Even though we may be going through a recession in the land and the economy is in bad shape, we still have so much for which to be thankful.
The Psalmist says in Psalm 95, verse 2, “Let us come before his presence with Thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto Him with Psalm.”
Again, I have to say we have so much to be thankful for. Count your blessings we have food to eat, a house to live in, an automobile to drive, a bed to sleep in, a pillow to lay your head on, cover to pull over your body, shoes to put on your feet, clothes to wear, etc.
I could go on and on about these material blessing from God.
As we sit down and eat, let’s not forget to say “Lord, we thank you.”
Because you made it all possible. Because somebody doesn’t have food, clothing, shelter. That’s why we are to reach out a helping hand and give and help someone else. Psalm 100, verse 4 says: “Enter into his gates with Thanksgiving and into his court with praise. Be thankful unto Him and Bless His name.”
Enjoy all the good food.
