FAYETTE — Services for Josie Lee “B.B.” Allen, 78, of Fayette, who died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at her residence, will be at noon today at Smithland Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs.Allen was born June 28, 1933, in Church Hill, the daughter of Harry Sr. and Cordelia Howard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Montrell Allen; and four brothers, Elec Howard, Ulec Howard, Harry Howard Jr. and Joe Howard.

Survivors include a loving and devoted husband, J.C. Allen; three daughters, Sarah Allen, Vera Allen Barnes and husband, Monroe, and Sharon Allen Ridale; five sons, Willie Allen, Jerry Allen, Calvin Allen, J.C. Allen Jr. and Michael Allen and wife, Mary; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
