Alcorn State falls to DePaul

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) — Dar Tucker shook off a lingering flu to score 25 points while Mac Koshwal added 19 as DePaul closed its non-conference slate with a 90-67 Sunday victory over Alcorn State.
The Blue Demons (8-5) won for the fourth time in five games as Tucker hit 4-of-8 three-point shots while Koshwal collected eight points in the paint and 13 rebounds. DePaul’s dominant inside game produced 21 layups and a 56-32 rebounding edge.
Braves guard Troy Jackson was 4-of-9 on three-pointers and paced the Braves with a game-high 31 points. Teammates Jarvis Williams and Anthony Ford had 14 and 10 points, respectively, as Alcorn State (2-10) fell to 0-6 on the road.
Adding to the Blue Demons’ most productive offensive day of the season were Jabari Currie (12 points) and Devin Hill (10). Will Walker had a career-high eight rebounds and a team-high five assists.
