NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Brown Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Brown was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Adams County, the son of Joe Clark and Josephine Brown. He was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was retired from Browning Oil Tools.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethel Washington Brown; and one son, Edward Donnell Flowers.

Survivors include 11 children, Marshall Townsend and wife, Marilyn, Charles Brown Jr. and wife, Carolyn, Otis Brown, Sherry Kennedy and husband, William, all of Natchez, Yvonne Evans Jefferson and husband, David, of Phoenix City, Ala., Clarice Brown, Denise Brown, Josephine Allred and husband, Tony, and Nina Brown, all of Columbus, Ohio, Theresa Tuesno of Arlington, Texas, and Stacy Brown and wife, Rose, of Ferriday; adopted daughter, Tamish Nikole Brown of Columbus; special friend, Florence Tuesno of Natchez; one sister, Hannah Fleming of Natchez; two brothers, Archie Clark and wife, Orelia, of Natchez and Willie Green and wife, Hattie, of Pueblo, Colo.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
