FERRIDAY — Services for Jaonna T. Augustine, 7, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Salem Cemetery in Batchelor, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Jaonna was born Jan. 8, 2004, in Ferriday, the daughter of Wendell Brown Jr. and Nicole Augustine. She was a student at Vidalia Lower Elementary School.

Survivors include her mother of Vidalia; her father and wife, Kyra, of Ferriday; nine brothers, Terry’onta, Terry’ondra, Ja’quari, Robert and her twin brother, Ja’onn Augustine, all of Vidalia, Ja’Terria’a Brown, Ja’Kyareon, Ja’Kerress and Ja’Kydrick Hawkins, all of Ferriday; one sister, La’Keair Hawkins of Ferriday; maternal grandparents, Gloria Augustine of Vidalia and Amos Augustine of Moreauville, La.; paternal grandparents, Janet Thompson and Wendell Brown Sr., both of Ferriday; five aunts; two uncles; a number of cousins; and classmates at Vidalia Lower Elementary School.
