NATCHEZ — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a Jan. 15 shooting.

Matthew Williams, 19, 318 Eastmoor Drive, was arrested Saturday. Jeremy Kwamane White, 18, 719 Smith Lane, was arrested Tuesday.

Both were charged with aggravated assault.

The two men allegedly shot at a local man on the corner of Minor and Oak streets.

The victim had reportedly picked up a man who was being pursued by Smith and Williams on Spring Street.

When the victim met Williams and White on the corner of Minor and Oak streets, he reportedly exchanged words with them and turned his back. He was then shot at.

Police officials said the bullet grazed his upper leg, inducing an injury that sent the victim to the hospital.

Both Williams and White are currently being held without bond at the city jail.
