NATCHEZ — After the Natchez aldermen met with the supervisors to discuss the Natchez-Adams County Economic Development Authority funding Monday, they met again, alone.
The aldermen recessed their Tuesday meeting in order to meet again to discuss in which direction to move, based on any decision the supervisors made Monday.
And even though the supervisors didn’t make a decision on the funding, the aldermen decided to continue their funding.
“This board is going to continue to move along as we have funding the EDA,” Mayor Jake Middleton said.
The board provides $100,000 annually to the EDA.
The aldermen plan to continue in their discussion with the supervisors over funding, Middleton said. The two boards have not yet set a meeting date.
