NATCHEZ — The accounting firm of Silas Simmons, LLP is pleased to announce that Brittney D. West has joined their professional staff.

West earned her bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe in May 2011. While at ULM, West was on the president’s and dean’s honor rolls and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in 2007. As an avid basketball fan, West served as a volunteer coach for Ferriday Junior High School girl’s basketball team.

West, a native of Natchez, graduated 10th in her 2005 class of Natchez High School. While at Natchez High, she was captain of the varsity girl’s basketball team, a member of the National Honor Society, and was crowned Miss Natchez High.

West is the daughter of James and Sharon West, sister of Christen West and the late J.T. West, and mother of Anthony J.T. West, all of Natchez.
