NATCHEZ — Adams County Emergency Management Director Stan Owens said county residents should be on the lookout for hazardous weather today.
Owens, after a conference call with the National Weather Service, said county and city residents could see severe thunderstorms and possible tornadic activity as early as this evening or early Wednesday morning.
And while Owens said all residents should be cautious and prepared, he’s not overly concerned about the weather.
The line of storms expected to impact the area is mostly north of Natchez and should not have a severe impact on the area.
“We’re on the very southern fringe of that,” Owens said. “But you always have to be prepared.”
