NATCHEZ — Services for Robert Davis, 89, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Farmersville, La., will be at 11 a.m. today at New Zion Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m . until service time today at the church.

Mr. Davis was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Louisiana, the son of John Davis and Eleanore Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ollie Bell Mitchell Davis; grandmother, Katherine Wilson; one sister; and a special loved one, Alberta Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Calina Davis and Ollie Mae Davis; one son, Howard Ray Davis; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Anita Jovel; friends, Charlie and Dorothy McGraw and Eddie Smith; two nieces, Willie Ann Wylie and Calina Wilson; one special grandson, James Leon Davis; and a number of other relatives and friends.
