NATCHEZ — One arrest has been made from the early morning bar fight that landed four people in local hospitals, Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said.
Tiffany Carter is being charged with one count of aggravated assault. A warrant is out for the arrest of LaKisha Holmes, 21, for two counts of aggravated assault, Mayfield said.
The two women allegedly came to Club Nuvo with a box cutter and an ice pick in their purses, Mayfield said. He said investigators were not sure which woman possessed which weapon.
Investigator Ricky Stevens said the stabbings started out as a domestic squabble.
“It was a bad mix of a boyfriend, some girls, alcohol, an ice pick and a box cutter,” Stevens said. “It started with two girls, and then their friends got involved.”
Stevens said one victim was in the hospital with a punctured lung, a wound consistent with an ice pick. Three other victims were in the hospital with cuts, but one was not going forward with charges.
Mayfield said the sheriff’s office has closed the club down, pending the outcome of the investigation.
ACSO received a call about the fight at 2:49 a.m. June 13 from the owner of Club Nuvo, 327 Lower Woodville Road, where the fight took place.
