NATCHEZ — Some people will go to extreme measures to sell a house.
But local Realtor Charlotte Copeland didn’t have to do anything to get extra exposure for one of her Natchez properties.
The house, located at 24 Homochitto St., will be featured on “Weekend Today” Saturday morning.
“They are doing a segment about what you can get for $250,000 across the country” Copeland said. “After seeing (the listing) on the Internet, they asked to get some pictures of the house.”
The house is a turn-of-the-century Victorian owned by Sue Fountain.
Copeland was thrilled with the opportunity to show off the house and couldn’t stifle the salesperson inside of her when the opportunity basically fell in her lap.
“I asked if they could put Century 21 River Cities Realty on it, but they can’t,” Copeland said. “But they did say they would tell anyone who called.”
Even though she couldn’t promote her company, she was given the chance to say a little something about Natchez.
“They said we could say something about the community so I told them about Spring Pilgrimage and all the beautiful antebellum houses and scenery,” Copeland said.
The show will air from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday on NBC.
