PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Tim Meadows scored 26 points and Darnell Hugee had a double-double to lead Prairie View to a 97-83 overtime win against Alcorn State Thursday night.
Prairie View dominated the overtime, 20-6, after the teams ended regulation tied 77-77.
Hugee scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds for the Panthers (15-15, 11-6 Southwestern Athletic). Jacoie Shivers scored 14 points off the bench and Dorian McDaniel added 12 for Prairie View.
Jonathan Boyd scored 24 points for Alcorn State, including six 3-pointers on an 8-of-18 shooting night.

The loss eliminates Alcorn State from SWAC Tournament contention.
Only the top eight finishing teams in the SWAC make the conference tournament in Birmingham.
Alcorn’s loss combined with Texas Southern’s win over Southern University guarantees the Braves of no better than a ninth-place conference finish.
Alcorn will close out its season at 7: 30 p.m. Saturday at Texas Southern.
