NATCHEZ — A Ford truck, trailer and landscaping equipment was reportedly stolen from Miss-Lou Landscaping on Liberty Road sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call Tuesday morning after Scotty Floyd arrived at work and discovered the items were missing.

Floyd told a deputy that the shop was locked when he left the night before. Tuesday morning, the shop’s door had been damaged and a lock had been cut open, likely with bolt cutters, the ACSO report states.

The report also states that the suspect likely used keys he found inside the building to steal the Ford F250 parked on the property. The suspect then hooked a 20-foot trailer to the truck and loaded it with two zero turn mowers and two push mowers.

A lock on the business’s outside gate was also cut.

Deputies are investigating the case.

Sheriff Ronny Brown said there are no leads and are requesting tips through the sheriff’s office, the Natchez Police Department and CrimeStoppers at 601-442-5000.
