I was very impressed with the quality of a surveillance camera shot of a strong-arm robbery suspect that appeared in Saturday’s edition of The Natchez Democrat.

It is not surprising that this wise guy was quickly apprehended simply on the merits of this photograph.

Let this be a warning to all would-be perpetrators that you are being watched with new state-of-the-art equipment.

If you do the crime, smile and wave for the camera. Afterwards, you can then do the time.

Accolades go to the store owners who “bit the bullet” and purchased good camera gear.

By thwarting crime with it, they do us all a favor.
