Pastor Fernando Ramirez Vazquez is coming to Natchez and the First Presbyterian Church and all our mission trip participants to his pueblo in China, Campeche, Mexico are thrilled!

It’s almost impossible for a Mexican citizen to get a “legal” Visa since Sept. 11, 2001, but with much prayer and lucky breaks, he has arrived and we’re going to return the hospitality he and his church lavished upon our mission committee when we were in Mexico.

Pastor Fernando has attended a Living Waters conference in Oxford, to learn to purify H2O for his people, and is now in Natchez for a week.

So when you see a Mexican being escorted around town, stop and say “Bienvenido” or “Buenos Dias!”

He’ll visit the Stewpot, a few nursing homes to visit shut-ins, Rotary, the Historic Natchez Pageant, a few historic home, the Men’s Prayer breakfast, Emerald Mound, Grand Village and LaFiesta Grande Restaurant.

Oh, don’t forget choir practice and worship service at First Presbyterian on Sunday.

It’s a strenuous week, but this energetic man keeps such a schedule in Mexico anyway. He is pastor of four churches, a professor of Old Testament studies at the seminary, and does missionary outreach at three primitive communities. And he does it all with a wonderful sense of humor!
