NATCHEZ — Isle of Capri employees were busy washing off dirt and mildew from the Mississippi River flooding in preparation for the opening of the casino.

Officials hope to make a decision in the coming days about when the casino will open its door after being forced to close for more than a month by the rising Mississippi River.

The Mississippi River stood at 53.14 feet Monday night. Flood stage is 48 feet.

The casino has been closed since early May.
