Continue the fight against cancer

I am just so proud of the Natchez community of which many of my cancer supporters are a part that it would be impossible for me to express the gratitude that I have for each of them.
This month was the seventh time that I have made this contribution to the American Cancer Society for the Relay for Life with the help of members of God’s Angelic Warriors.
I am just one member with the idea that has grown each year. The supporters and members of God’s Angelic Warriors are truly the ones that make it what it has grown to be. I wish every person who has survived cancer and every supporter who has been there for someone who has been diagnosed could at least attend one of the teas. You life would be truly touched and you would want to work as hard as we do for the cause.
There are too many people and organizations to list the names but you know who you were and for your financial support I am truly grateful. If my arms were long enough, I would hug all of you at the same time and ask you to continue your support and fight until it is no longer needed.
Several persons have written dictionaries and have come up with new words but the perfect one to offer thanks to the many contributors to the cause has not be found yet. I really don’t think one word could sum it all up, but all I have at this time is, “thanks!”
There will be other projects before the Relay for Life event, and we will have a venue at the Relay. Seek us out and there is still time for your contributions. Each member has raffle tickets. You do not have to attend Relay to win but you should attend. It is an experience that will touch you and never allow you to be the same. May 1-2, at the Vidalia Riverfront is the place to be.
This is one disease that does not stop invading without treatment and neither should we stop until there is a cure. We have not chosen a theme for this year, we are just working for the cause. I am sure by Relay time we will have one and will continue fighting physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.
As I told you in the Top of the Morning, the week of the Survivors Tea, mark your calenders for the first Saturday in March 2010.
That’s the date for the eighth tea. You should be there.
