I have been working at Darby’s Furniture Store now for approximately five years.

My desk allows me the perfect view of traffic on Main Street. I’m writing to voice my concern with the speeding vehicles that pass my office daily.

It is really amazing how fast these cars drive through our wonderful old downtown district.

I believe they are trying to catch every green light on Main Street in hopes to not have to use their brakes! It’s dangerous, scary and I fear for every pedestrian, every day. I’m not sure what the answer is, but when a huge tractor trailer loaded with a large fuel tank went barreling by the other day — I can’t say exactly how fast, but it seemed like about 40 — I decided to write and express my concern for the record.
