FOREST, La. — There were high-flying softballs all over the field in Monterey’s game against Forest on Monday.
Unfortunately for the Laddy Wolves, they had none of the four home runs hit in their 8-0 loss.
Losing pitcher Ellen Bairnsfather was the only Monterey player with a hit, going 1-for-3 at the plate.
The four home runs she gave up were split evenly between two Forest players.
Monterey is now 11-11 on the season but winless in three district games.
The Lady Wolves will host Kilburn at 3 p.m. Wednesday looking for their first LHSAA Class B District 3 win.
