FERRIDAY — Services for Dorothy Boykin, 75, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, June 5, 2011, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with Galen Dawson officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Boykin was born Oct. 11, 1935, the daughter of Carl and Helen Boykin. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lucille Bamburg and Wanda Dianne Clay; and one nephew, Christopher Powell.

Survivors include five brothers, Joe Boykin and wife, Lilly, of Vidalia, Zane Boykin and wife, Carolyn, of Ferriday, Keith Boykin and wife, Carla, of Woodville, Wren Boykin and wife, Barbrer, of Cranfield and Freddie Boykin and wife, Willie Mae, of Walker, La.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Carlton Boykin, Ivan Hedrick, Carl Boykin, Stuart Boykin, David Hedrick and Kenneth Hedrick.
