Come fight the fight at Relay for Life

Ever seen a pickle torpedo?
Can you do the water balloon wiggle walk?
Or, can you crow like a rooster?
You’ll have your chance to do this and more tonight and tomorrow morning at the annual Miss-Lou Relay for Life.
The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. and doesn’t end until 6 a.m.
Laughs, hugs and smiles will be plentiful. But expect a few tears as well.
Tonight’s event is an annual Miss-Lou favorite but not just because of the games and great food.
Our community has been touched all too often by cancer. And the pain continues.
Though we’ll have a ball tonight, the real point is the thousands of dollars that have already been raised. The money goes to the American Cancer Society to be used for cancer research and cancer education.
Tonight is about hope for today and hope for tomorrow.
With a dime here and a penny there, our community can make a difference in the lives of thousands.
So come out tonight, for an hour or 12, have some fun, spend some money and take a few moments to think about and pray for those in our area affected by cancer.
Together, we can beat this, but the research takes money — and maybe a few pickle torpedoes.
