Southern Miss grants degrees at spring 2009 commencement

HATTIESBURG — Approximately 1,700 students at the University of Southern Mississippi were candidates for degrees Friday, May 8 and Saturday May 9 during spring commencement exercises for campuses in Hattiesburg and Long Beach, respectively.
Southern Miss President Martha Saunders conferred undergraduate, graduate and specialist’s degrees during two ceremonies at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg and one at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
