Carter receives most votes in alderman race

WOODVILLE — William L. Carter defeated incumbent Gene Lofton by six votes, according to unofficial election returns.
The two men were in a runoff for the remaining alderman seat in Woodville. Carter received 237 votes to Lofton’s 231.
