McLemore named president and CEO at Concordia Bank & Trust; Biglane named president emeritus

VIDALIA, La. – The Board of Directors of Concordia Bank & Trust Company and Concordia Capital Corporation announce the designation of Scott B. McLemore as President and Chief Executive Officer of both the Bank and the Corporation, implementing the next step of the Company’s management succession plan. McLemore takes over for Patrick R. Biglane, who retired as President and CEO after 29 years.  Biglane, will work with McLemore on the leadership transition and will continue in the role of President Emeritus of the Bank and the Corporation.

McLemore was named President of the Bank and Corporation in January 2024 and prior to that served as Executive Vice President since May 2020. In 2013, McLemore was elected to the Board of Directors of the Bank and the Corporation.

McLemore is a native of Vidalia, graduate of Cathedral High School and was awarded the rank of Eagle through the Boy Scouts of America.  He continued his education at Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and then a Law Degree from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert School of Law.  Prior to joining Concordia Bank, McLemore practiced law in Vidalia with his father and ultimately in his own practice after his father retired.  His practice consisted of real estate transactions, business formation, successions and succession planning, and family matters.  During his practice of law, McLemore was elected Judge of the Vidalia City Court where he served for 6 years until choosing not to run for reelection.  Over the course of his career, McLemore has served on the boards of many non-profit organizations including Jefferson Street Methodist Church, Dream Hunt Foundation – Miss Lou Chapter, Concordia Chamber of Commerce, Natchez Adams County Chamber of Commerce (Past Chairman), Natchez Inc. (Vice Chairman), and Natchez Now (Secretary Treasurer). His professional affiliations include the Louisiana Bankers Association (recipient of the IMPACT award), the Mississippi Bankers Association (Chairman of Education Committee), the Louisiana Bar Association, and the Georgia Bar Association.

When asked about the transition into the CEO role, McLemore stated “I am deeply honored to have this opportunity and fully recognize that I have big shoes to fill. My predecessor and mentor set an exceptional example of dedication, leadership, and community involvement, and I hope to continue building on that legacy. I am committed to upholding the values of this institution, maintaining relationships within the bank, and making a meaningful impact in our community. McLemore lives in Vidalia with his wife, Laura, and two daughters, Molly and Natalie.
