Due to the likelihood of snow and ice accumulation on roads dangerous for travelers, the Mississippi Department of Transportation will close the U.S. 61 flyover at 6 p.m. today, authorities said.

Up to 5 inches of snow is still possible for Adams County before noon on Tuesday.
