“The Evolution of Dance” is the theme of this year’s Krewe of Phoenix Mardi Gras Celebration. Members of the court celebrated Saturday during the KOP annual Call-Out Ball with dances through the decades, from modern hits to the classics.

Upcoming events will include a children’s walking parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, on the Bluff; the KOP Mardi Gras parade in downtown Natchez on Friday, Feb. 28; and the Grand Ball on Saturday, March 1, at the Natchez Convention Center.
