Alcorn State University ranks among the best

LORMAN — Alcorn State University is consistently ranked as one of the best colleges in the United States.
According to U.S. News and World Report’s special issue, which ranks America’s Best Black Colleges (slated to be published this fall), Alcorn State University is ranked 23rd out of 105 Historically Black Colleges and Universities nationally. This position places Alcorn 11th among public HBCUs and seventh among 1890 land-grant institutions.
In the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Alcorn ranks second among its peers.
M. Christopher Brown II, the 18th president of Alcorn State University, said he is proud and dedicated to continually engaging possibilities and pursuing excellence.
