NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Dwight Cameron, 72, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Natchez will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Melvin White officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cannonsburg under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Dwight was born on July 4, 1952, in Detroit, MI, the son of Annie Bell Cameron and Dennis Cameron. He attended and completed his cosmetology certification at Advance Cosmetology in Natchez. Dwight was employed by Darby’s Gift Shop and was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports, and listening to music.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leslie Cameron, Danny Cameron, and Donnell Cameron, and son, Omari Cameron.

Dwight’s memories will be forever cherished by his wife, Bernadine Cameron; sons, Dwight “Arman” Davis (Denise), Michael Cameron and Delmas Anderson (Akia); daughters, Kaquana Davis, Breanna Cameron (Darrius) and Ciara Veal (Jerome); brother, Dennis Cameron, Jr.; sisters, Lashawn Donaldson Gaines and Denise Donaldson; godsister, Dorothy Johnson; close cousin, Jessie Smith; special nephew, Leslie Mongo; godson, Riley Trask; special friend, Andrew “Bubba” Johnson; uncle, Lester Jones (Mary Lou), other relatives and friends.
