NATCHEZ – Funeral services for James Lee “Jimmy” Wells, 71, of Natchez, who passed away on Jan. 12, 2025, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at Highland Baptist Church in Natchez, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Paul Southerland officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation services will be held at Highland Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, from 11 a.m. until service time.

James affectionately known as “Jimmy” was born on Aug. 3, 1953, in Natchez, to Judges George Hunter Wells and Leola Lena Daniels Wells. James “Jimmy” was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

James “Jimmy” was preceded in death by his parents, Judges George and Leola Wells; and four brothers, Harry Wells, Dan Wells, Bill Wells, and Richard Wells.

James “Jimmy” leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Kitty Wells Allen; one brother, Ronnie Wells both of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers are Keith Wells, Danny Wells, Kevin Wells, Bo Wells, Richard Wells, and Michael Wells.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Wells, Billy Wells, and Adams County Road Department.
