FERRIDAY – Funeral services for Brandon Wilson, 39, of Houston, TX, formerly of Ferriday, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. from New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson, son of Dexter Johnson and Angela Wilson, was born in Pineville, LA, and died at the Baylor St. Luke Medical Center in Houston following a brief illness. He was a truck driver for Paige Logistics.

He is survived by his mother, Angela W. Mitchell (Demareus) of Ferriday; his father, Dexter Johnson of Ferriday; one daughter, Memorie Miller of Pineville; two brothers, Jerimy Wilson (Monique) of Denham Springs, LA; Querri Green of Ferriday; three sisters, Yoshiko Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA; Mitoya Wilson and Dezyiah Johnson both of Ferriday; special friend, Lacinea Brown of Houston; maternal grandfather, James “Dewey” Milligan of Ferriday. Also, six aunts and eight uncles.

Preceding him in death is one brother, LaDarrius Wiggins; one uncle, Calvin Johnson; maternal grandmother, Amanda “Ann” Wilson Milligan; and paternal grandmother, Betty Johnson.
