FAYETTE – Funeral services for Robert Lee King, 74, of Fayette, who departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, in San Augustine, TX, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at noon at Hollywood Baptist Church with Rev. Elvis Colenberg officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home – Fayette Branch.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Fayette and will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Robert was born on May 15, 1950, in Fayette, the son of Lula King White and Samuel King, Sr. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Fayette. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda King; and brothers, Samuel King, Jr. and Leroy Wells.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Estelle Reed King; sisters, Lucille (Leroy) Gaines, Linda (Lawrence, Sr.) Mack, Bobby Mosby, and Brenda Lee; brothers, Lionel (Bonita) King, Eddie (Shirley) King, Jerry (Brenda) King, Willie (Sharon) King, Kent (Deborah) King, Mark King, and Kelvin (LaTosha) King; children, grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
