NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Miss Ty’Keria De’Miyah Rogers, 18, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, in Natchez, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ernest Ford, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Ty’Keria was born Sept. 6, 2006, in Natchez, the daughter of TeQuilla Rogers and Carlos Owens. She attended Natchez High School, where she was a Senior preparing to graduate in May 2025. Ty’Keria was the Captain of the Natchez High Cheerleading Squad. She was employed at Wendy’s as a cashier. She was a member of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and previously served as Miss Sophomore. In her spare time, she enjoyed cheering, tik-toking, talking on the phone, and hanging out with friends.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Edith Rogers; great-uncle, Larry Rogers; grandfather, Roy Carter; great-great-grandmother, Sylvia Washington; and uncle, Roy Flowers.
Ty’Keria leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, TeQuilla Rogers; father, Carlos Owens; grandparents, Angela Rogers and Ricky Owens; brothers, JaiCeyon Watkins, JeKari Douglas, DeCameron Combs, Derrick Washington, Mason Allen, Jermaine Kaho, Cyson Clay, Karson Washington, Carleon Owens, and Jaylan James; sister, Hayleigh Watkins; special sisters, Zion Givens, Catilyn Matthews, Maddie Johnson, Amaya Hoggatt, NaKyria Bates, Tashee Richardson, Ja’Cambre Williams, and Jamiyah Matthews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
