NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Kietra Nishay McDonald, 39, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, in Natchez will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Joe W. Pickett officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Kietra was born on July 23, 1985, in Natchez, the daughter of Shirley Johnson and Howard McDonald, Jr.  She was a graduate of Natchez High School and a member of Christian Hope Baptist Church. Kietra enjoyed cooking and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: James and Sadie Alexander and Howard McDonald, Sr., and fiancé Londell Williams.

Kietra leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Sania Brady, Keyuna Walker (Logan, Sr.), and Matiuna Robb; parents, Shirley Johnson (Richard) and Howard McDonald, Jr. (Annatola); brothers, Herman Alexander (Chaka) and Dewayne McDonald; sisters, Darnesha McDonald and Nakesha McDonald; grandson, Logan Walker, Jr., other relatives and friends.
