NATCHEZ – Patricia Ann Stallone Joseph, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Hammond, LA, on Dec. 18, 2024. Born on Oct. 28, 1939, in Natchez, Pat graduated from Cathedral High School, where she was chosen as Homecoming Queen. She later graduated from Soulé College in New Orleans and worked as a legal secretary there and in Jackson, MS. A devout Catholic, Pat expressed her creativity through drawing, gardening, interior design, and creating floral arrangements. Her family’s roots in Natchez are commemorated with a Natchez Trails historical marker honoring her father’s store, Stallone’s Grocery and Market, and its contribution to the city’s Italian-American heritage.
Preceded in death by her parents, Amelia Teresa Zucconi and Hugo Joseph Stallone, Pat is survived by her husband, Fred Joseph Jr.; her son, John Brent Joseph; her daughter-in-law, Amanda Rachael White; her sisters, Barbara Nell Stallone Lomasney and Carolyn Stallone Eidt; and countless nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
Pat will always be remembered for her kind heart, her ability to become a friend to everyone she met, her grace, empathy, and love of sharing stories. Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Basilica, with interment at Natchez City Cemetery.
