Saturday, cemeteries in Natchez and one in Vidalia filled with festive wreaths on soldiers’ graves for Wreaths Across America Day celebrations in the Miss-Lou.
In the Natchez National Cemetery, over 1,000 of the 8,000 graves were covered with wreaths.
“There are always plenty of graves to go around, so don’t ever hesitate to donate,” said Larry Smith of the Home With Heroes Foundation during the ceremony. A portion of donations also support local veterans, he added.
Here are some scenes from the Saturday Wreaths Across America celebration in the Natchez National Cemetery.
