FERRIDAY – Funeral services for Amanda “Ann” Wilson, 79, of Ferriday, who passed away on Dec. 8, 2024, at her residence, will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at The Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday, with Pastor Charles Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Amanda Wilson was born on March 18, 1945, in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Woodrow and Rosie Taylor Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Deloris Wilson, and Doris Fountain; and one grandson, Anthony Wilson.

Mrs. Ann is survived by her husband, James “Dewey”  Milligan; four daughters, Sherrie Bingham (LJ), Angela Mitchell (Demarcus), and Carolyn Wilson, all of Ferriday; Kathryn Moore (Hilton) of Baton Rouge, LA; four sons, Sylvester Wilson (Rhonda) of Foley, AL; Niles Wilson (Earline) of LaPlace, LA; Arthur Wilson (Josephine), and Robert Wilson; and one sister-in-law, Emma Conner (James) all of Ferriday, LA; a best friend, Ella Mae Bruce of Natchez; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and family friends.
