FERRIDAY – Funeral services for Shirley Jean “Shelly” Warner Brown, 66, of Ferriday, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday, under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. Pastor Leroy White will officiate. Eastern Star services will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown, daughter of Willie and Belphenia Long Warner, was born in Natchez and died at the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. She retired from Trinity Medical as a patient information clerk.

Preceding her in death are her parents, and two sisters, Zenobia Hawkins and Violetta Whitley.

She is survived by her siblings, Michael Warner (Shelia), Edward Warner (Mary Lou), Gregory Warner (Helen), and Ida Mae Thomas all of New Orleans, LA, Willie D. Warner (Connie), and Kenneth Warner all of Ferriday, Samuel Warner of Austin, TX, Pinkey Beavers (Freddie) of Seattle, WA, Joshua Warner of Vidalia, and Gwendolyn Robinson of Norfolk, VA.

Also, three aunts, Johnnie Mae Lyons, Rosa Lee Warner, and Alberta Warner all of Vidalia. In addition to a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
