NATCHEZ — Freezing weather this weekend may pose a limited threat to tender vegetation and possibly outdoor plumbing, according to the National Weather Service.
Freezing temperatures and areas of frost will be likely each morning Saturday through Tuesday.
Temperatures in portions of northeast Louisiana and central, east central, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Mississippi could fall as low as 30 degrees tonight and early Saturday morning with cooler temperatures in Vicksburg and northward.
Then on Monday and Tuesday, temperatures could fall as low as 25 degrees.
These freezing conditions could kill sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold, the weather service states.
