NATCHEZ—Poll workers at the Crosspoint Church voting precinct reported steady voter turnout at approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday. However, a midday thunderstorm likely dampened voter enthusiasm for a bit.

Adams County voters headed to the polls Tuesday to choose the President of the United States, the US Senator representing Mississippi, the second congressional district representative, the District 2 Supreme Court Justice, and the election commissioner from districts one and three.

Adams County Circuit Clerk Eva Givens said as of approximately 1 p.m., no issues or problems at polling places had been reported.

Givens said turnout at the Courthouse voting precinct has been steady.

Tracy Gaude, election commissioner for District 1, said turnout is going “extremely well” based on the volume of phone calls from citizens wanting to know where they go to vote.

Gaude also said no problems were reported at any polling precincts.

“The phone has been ringing constantly with people wanting to know where they go to vote,” she said.
