NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Tyrone Newborne Thomas, 51, of Chalmette, LA, formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, in Chalmette, LA, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel) with Pastor James Washington officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Tyrone was born March 23, 1973, in Natchez, the son of Mary Newborne Thomas and George Thomas. He attended North Natchez High School and received his GED from Job Corps and was employed with High Tech Construction. Tyrone was a member of the True Holyness D.O.M.E. and a member of the ADA Elites (Military Private Contractor). In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, racing cars, collecting guns, and family bonding.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Jacob and Bessie Newborne.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Denise Newborne Thomas; sons, T. Newborne Thomas and Ty’von Newborne Thomas; daughters, Destiny Newborne Thomas Butler and Diajionna Newborne Thomas; brothers, Tony Newborne, Sr., George Thomas, Jr., and Reggie Thomas; sister, Sandra Newborne McGuire; and a host of other relatives and friends.
