NATCHEZ — Because of the threat of rain on Thursday night, Trick or Treat for Little Feet and the Natchez Park and Rec Department’s Trunk ‘r Treat with The Grinch have been moved to Saturday.

DNA officials said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure trick-or-treaters’ safety and the event’s convenience for all.

Trick or Treat from Little Feet will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m., and Trunk ‘r Treat with The Grinch from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the Bluff.

The City of Natchez does not set an official time for trick or treating.

The National Weather Service office in Jackson has forecast showers and possibly thunderstorms for Thursday and Thursday night, with a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
