NATCHEZ — St. Mary Basilica parishioners participated in the Procession of the Eucharist following 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday.
A Eucharist procession is a Catholic ceremony in which the Eucharist — the bread and wine representing Christ’s body and blood — is carried through the streets as the faithful follow along, praying and singing.
The St. Mary processional proceeded down Main Street to Wall Street to State Street and back to the church.
