WOODVILLE – Homer Eugene Lofton, 69, of Woodville, MS, passed away at his residence on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024. Gene was born on July 22, 1955, in Woodville to the late Evelyn Smith Lofton and Harvy Lofton.

Gene was a member of Woodville Baptist Church and was serving as alderman for the town of Woodville.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at Woodville Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at noon with Dr. George Bannister officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

He is survived by one sister, Patsy Lofton Hammack.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Harvey Michael Lofton.
