NATCHEZ – Funeral Services for Sammie Turner, 86, of Natchez, who died on Oct. 12, 2024, will be at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Sago, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services Chapel.

Burial will follow at Mercy Seat Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services.

Mrs. Turner is survived by three daughters, Beverly Richardson, Deborah Turner, and Julia (Contreal) Lyles all of Natchez; three sons, Michael Smith, Israel (Odessa) Smith of Natchez, and Steve Smith of Brookhaven, MS; two sisters, Wille (Robert) Holloway of San Antonio, TX, and Christine (Willie) Robinson of Jackson, MS; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
