SICILY ISLAND, LA – Funeral services for George Leon Ready, 79, of Sicily Island, LA will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at 11 a.m. from the New Hope Pentecostal Church, 2288 Hwy 8, Sicily Island. Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA. Pastor Chris Hamilton will officiate.

Mr. Ready, son of Wilton Dodd and Flora Mason Ready, was born in Sicily Island and died at the Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Bryan Ready and Shayne Ellen Ready both of Sicily Island; Arnold Wilton Ready of Baton Rouge, LA; and Deborah Lynn Ready of Boone, NC; one sister, Linda Murray, grandchildren, Ferris Krommes of Sicily Island, Heather Spillers (Justin, Sr.) of Calhoun, LA; Kaitlyn Elizabeth Ready and Brayden Ready both of St. Francisville, LA; four great-grandchildren, Justin, Jr. Zachary, Kenzie and Travis.
